I first want to say that I think this is a great show!
This is my story:
I used to be in great shape. I would spend 1-2 hours a day in the gym, swim, run, go hiking or anything physical that I was in to at the time. My weight ran any where from 110 lbs. to 120 lbs.

Then everything slipped away. I had a bad knee injury. I got busy. I started drinking to much and indulging in too much rich food. My weight climbed to 165 lbs. and my total choleserol went to 240. My doctor put me on Prevastatin which has lowered my cholesterol, but my tryglycerides have gone through the roof.

I know it was my fault, so I am trying to fix it. I am not happy about being on medicine. So In the past 3 months I have been trying to change the way I eat. Things like tofu and tofu based products are new to me. I am often confused about products used on the show, because I don't know what they are. I have visited a couple of health food stores, but was unsure of what to buy. The prices are very high and there also seems to be a lot of processed products.

I would rather learn how to make my own tofu cream cheese, salad dressings and such. If anyone has any suggestions of how to get started or demystify the use of healthier products I would appreciate the advise.

I know how you feel. Weight just creeps up. I am the author of a children's Book Randy Kazandy, Where Are Your Glasses? and he will be making some recipes that are about three ingredients and healthy for kids without them knowing it. I have a few that are perfect. I am always looking for great easy recipes.
